I'm originally from NC, but currently in Cambodia for my 2nd stint with PEPY as intern/tour leader. Spent several weeks in Portland late summer this year (yes I know the most glorious season there) and quickly fell in love with the place. My plans are very similar for the next year or two, spend 6-8 months there, and 4-6 months in either sunnier or snowier locales. We'll see...looking forward to meeting you here in Cambodia...
Seriously, definitely want to be friends with anyone from Portland (a place I am currently stalking as future home starting 2009) who lists yeast/wood stoves/cooking/itch relief amongst the things she adores. Thats just good stuff. If you put that list in alphabetical order you will completely win over Shannon as well :)

Good to meet you in cyberspace and looking forward to meeting you in Cambodia in a month! Crazy. Love your profile it made me smile :) I will have to do some reading as to the middle child syndrome before we meet up... I am travelling for three weeks before the trip around Viet Nam and then hopefully into Thailand afterwards. As you may have guessed from my profile I have no definite plans and am open to whatever comes up. Really looking forward to the trip and meeting you :)
