Where am I going? What am I doing? I don know...
Just have chance to look at the Google maps. Accidentally, I went on a very long journey to UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, some countries in Europe.
First, I just looked at the maps and photos from tourists posted online. Then, I went on the road of flying, biking, so on. Trying to look where should I start to bike to my sister school, if I going to.
I decided to start from Germany and ride a long one small river to Prague, but it just a dream :).
Dream has no limited, Hahaha, I wanted to stop by at UAE see some friends. Then, I fall in love with all their development and many stuff like that.
I went to the desert. Clicked on the photos and videos, suddenly I was in the middle of nowhere.
How people here survive? Luckily, I was able to come back to cities. I went to Dubai and other cities.
Many development. Took a chance to read some philosophies, concepts and documentaries they have. Waw how can they do that? is it a good ideas if Cambodia learn some example of their works? Spending sometime here and there, still did not know where else to go.
Decided to come back to Singapore! Aha! eh! still the same lots of place look nice. Near to Thailand.
Thailand also the same. Lots of places have many people selling stuff and people working. Many document note of development. Many good place all over countryside and cover land areas.
Not so long, I came back to Cambodia. See some note on the net about Siem Reap. I went back to Bokor mountain. Then go over to see Vietnam. Just off the border, it make very much different.
Many place in Cambodia full of no use. Only some places near cities have been use, yet not so effectively.
Learning some new history of pity country, that has been attacked and destroyed by its own people.
Bringing Cambodia till today. Non-educated people to rule the country. The present day is much better. But the fear of the non-differential still in the mind of many Cambodians.
Outside support has been almost over though Cambodia toward the same situation but different.
As it happened. I got tired and went to the bathroom. I saw one spider with the giant lags trying to go up, and get off from the bath tub. I was watching for a long time. Then, decided to help him get out of the bath tub. But at the end I could only broke his one of his lag.
As all mixtures NGOs hanging around with all the supports. If they only have the heart of just want to help and not study hard enough about Cambodian thinking, I think the result will be as my little spider.
I don't know the answer as well, but please slow down and see how we can help before we act something. Otherwise, it just another sadness, whit the answer and feeling that I can only do so much, but not help much. I will go home. Then workout elsewhere, where it will be the same result.
