27, living in San Diego originally from France and ??? - Foreign Service kid that never really found a homebase so I travel to make up for all the wanderlust. I'm a Recruiter by trade but secretly dream of giving up everything and living overseas the rest of my life.
My experience with PEPY involved:
February 2008 - Southern Cambodia Cycling Adventure
My favorite PEPY memories are:
Dodging Mickey Mouses every chance I got, secretly hoping for a flush toilet at every stop, refusing to acknowledge the number 7 when it came to kilometers, being pushed up the hills by Lucky, painting water filters at RDIC, eating millions of noodles, sharing Clif bars with friends, making bracelets with color cards, falling off of my bike, toe clips, sunblock breaks, making lifelong friends who have changed my life!
Since my time with PEPY, I have been:
Eyeing up every dirt path I can find, powering up steep hills on low gears, finding non-profits to volunteer with, keeping in touch with my PEPY girls, bringing reusable bags to the grocery store, convincing my coworkers to drink tap water, scheming up ways to buy a moto and refusing to call it a scooter....
My plans for the future include:
A career in the Foreign Service or maybe just travelling with no end destination in sight, creating my own mini tribe of bohemians and exploring each and every continent
I am inspired by:
Progressive thinkers, people who are able to speak their mind with tact, fearlessness of that which is different, those willing to venture outside of their comfort realm, exceptional writers with meaning - Zola, Senghor, Kerouac, Balzac.

Hi lady! I am so impressed with you Veronique! I LOVE that you are working with refugees and love even more that you are getting people in your office motivated too. We can all do our part, but we can do even more good by showing others how easy, rewarding, and fun it is to do theirs as well, eh? Good for you for inspiring others and for changing lives. You rock! And we didn't even get to talk ND when you were here - you WILL have to come back!
Great to travel with you---if only in airports! As luck would have it, I made it on an early flight to Austin and ended up with only 10 minutes in LAX----guess I had good luck despite the customs fiasco. Hope you're settling well into home life!
