Usually I don't really write a whole lot of stuff about me in forums or online programs but, since i'll be meeting most of you soon, I guess I can write a bit!
So, I'm from Niagara Falls in Canada. . .heard of it?
I'm currently living in Japan and teaching English to high school students. Before coming to Japan, I studied Japanese for a while so I can communicate pretty well in Japanese I guess.
So, that's my job (at the moment), so let's talk about the more important stuff!
I <3 cycling x infinity. I started off with a crosstrail bike 4 years ago and have slowly progressed to a road addict. Ya, looking forward to some winter training in Cambodia! :D although, I'm still bearing the cold here in the land of the rising sun. . .for the time being.
I also am technically a pesca-ova-tarian. Which means, I don't eat any meat or animal products except fish and eggs. . .actually i'm kind of lenient with dairy though. . .if it comes in the form of ice cream, I have been known to sometimes indulge.
I'm kind of an activist too. hee hee. I'm an active member of Amnesty International in Japan and although in absentia currently, Canada. I've also joined a group through the fair trade store near my house in Aichi-ken which does workshops and events to promote the environment and fair trade initiatives.
I love traveling and learning about other cultures and people/ways of life.
I love reading, and knitting and cooking also.
Am hoping to do the BEE ride in the summer this year too :D
That's all the main stuff that takes up my life I guess.
Looking forward to meeting everyone in Cambodia!
