Dude, the JLPT was hard! But I totally expected it to be hard so it wasn't a shock at least.

I filled in all the answers though so if nothing else, perhaps I will have passed by fluke chance! Hehe!!!

How much longer will you be in Cambodia? What are you going to do when you leave?

I look forward to seeing you in less than two weeks' time. I was a JET in Kyushu too - in Saga actually - although one of the very first things I did when I arrived in 1987 was to be taken up Mt Aso, and I also remember eating Indian food at Nanak in Kumamoto during our first 'block' meeting.

Profile Information

About myself:
After 2 years in Japan I joined PEPY as an intern to delay going home for a wee while longer. Happy days!
My experience with PEPY involved:
Fun times, great people and life changing experiences.
My favorite PEPY memories are:
Every moment spent at the PEPY ride school, making a great bunch of new friends, exploring Angkor, pump showers, bus karaoke, sunset over the Mekong while sharing a host of inappropriate jokes, hearing many attempts at a genuine Scottish accent (oh no!), and many more to come :)
Since my time with PEPY, I have been:
Enjoying the last of my time in Japan and planning my return to PEPY!
My plans for the future include:
Seeing more of the world, learning, sharing and caring, marrying a rock star (drummers preferred, but I'm not fussy), and having fun!
I am inspired by:
Anyone who follows their dreams with honesty and conviction.

The PEPY team races round Angkor Wat!

Last Saturday, Chez PEPY and friends were up and out of bed, geared up and ready for the annual Angkor Wat bike race. Spread over 3 different races, 12 PEPY staff competed in and completed their rides in order to raise funds for Village Focus, an NGO that is working to empower Cambodian people and encourage leadership in society.
Due to an unfortunate miss-calculation of times, the 30km fun-riders missed the start of their ride but still ganged together and finished in high spirits. Shannon, Mar… Continue

Movember Lives On!

November may be over, but in the PEPY house Movember lives on! PEPY interns Adam, Brenton and Matt made a valiant effort to sculpt their facial hair into a variety of shapes and sizes, much to the enjoyment of the rest of the PEPY house!

Adam opted for the classic top lip mustache

Giving Thanks

Daniela recently posted an article about 10 things that science says can make you happy. How interesting! After reading through all ten, I have to agree the most with number 8, 'say thank you like you mean it.' For me, gratitude is one of the most important qualities to have, and of course to express. And how fitting, since today is Thanks Giving!
And so, on this here day of thanks, I would like to be thankful for opportunity. I am very privileged to be in a position where I have opportunities t… Continue

The Story of Stuff

After watching Annie Leonard’s fast-paced, short internet documentary entitled “The Story of Stuff,” I couldn’t help breathe out a huge ‘wow’. For a full twenty minutes, my eyes were glued to the screen and my brain was trying its hardest to keep up with the shocking information about the steady destruction of our environment through ineffective consumerism and waste management. Don’t get me wrong, these are issues that you would have to be hermit to be unaware of, but when they are presented to… Continue
